Table of ContentsReviewsExercises for the Modern Jazz Pianist is the gift of a talented musician who has a solid foundation as a classroom teacher. He has drawn upon his knowledge of physics to understand music as the interaction of sound waves, and he has drawn upon his understanding of what music sounds like when it is grounded in beauty... These volumes represent the essence of his mastery of his craft - and his mastery of how to teach it. He knows how to teach. He wants to open the eyes and hearts of students to make them aware of the 'self-evident truths of jazz harmony.' His truth can be found in these pages.
