Author Information

Dr Pantelis Nikolaidis is a Greek sports scientist who has specialized in exercise physiology and exercise testing, ranked in the World's Top 2% Scientists list. He studied sports science at the University of Athens (2001); then focused on exercise physiology at the University of Prague as a scholar of the state scholarship foundation (PhD, 2008). He teaches Kinesiology at the School of Health and Caring Sciences, University of West Attica. Since 2008 he has run a private exercise physiology laboratory by collaborating with many sport clubs and athletes, mostly in the region of Athens and Piraeus. He published more than 500 peer-reviewed scientific papers and has been reviewer for more than 100 international scientific journals. His research interests focus on athletes fitness profiling and its variation by sex, age and performance level.
