Reviews

""Stephen Redmond's Exclusive Theology is an outstanding work examining the devastating connections between white supremacy, racism, and Southern Methodism, which after abolition supported segregation, racist practices, and right-wing thought. It offers a sustained reflection on white Protestant theology embedded in white supremacist and Eurocentric ideologies detrimental to the racially oppressed. Exclusive Theology ought to be required reading for anyone wanting to study the complicity of white Christianity with the racist ideology responsible for non-white oppressed suffering. --Harold J. Recinos, Professor of Church and Society, Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University ""Dr. Stephen Redmond has crafted an invaluable resource in the mission and ministry of John Wesley in the Colony of Georgia. Exclusive Theology establishes a compelling entry point into Methodist Church history. A conceptually refreshing take on the history of North Georgia Methodists, Afro-Indigenous enslavement, and exclusive theology. This book should be required for classes in seminaries, colleges, and congregations."" --Noel Leo Erskine, Professor Emeritus of Theology and Ethics, Candler School of Theology, Emory University
