OverviewAs a Cunard line enthusiast and regular passenger, I looked forward to this book arriving but was disappointed. It is littered with typos and punctuation omissions and at the start of the chapter on the QE2, professes to show a picture of QE2. This is actually the Queen Mary 2, so a pretty big mistake to make. Given the rich subject history, I am curious as to why the book needs to refer to other ships and liners, although this is made clear on the cover, and it seems to me that this is an enthusiast's collection in print: the souvenir menus are from the same cruise and there is a collection of cigarette card images (interesting none the less). Finally, the bibliography is full of references to the Titanic when that liner hardly features. Redeeming features are the wonderful reproductions of photos of grand liner interiors and some sadder images of former Atlantic giants capsized and sinking.
