"Paul wrote, ""Finally then, brethren, we request and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us instruction as to how you ought to walk and please God (just as you actually do walk), that you excel still more"" (1 Thess. 4:1). To ""excel still more"" is to achieve that which is set in front of you. In our case, Heaven has been set in front of us, and it is up to us to walk in a worthy manner. When I excel, I grow; when I excel still more, I grow and grow and grow! The Excel Still More Bible Workshop is directed toward a deep study of a particular book or topic of the Bible. Our platform is a simple three-step pattern. 1. Learn the text This section of the study is designed to go through the text in a verse-by-verse fashion, identifying key words, phrases, and verses. 2. Apply the text In this section, our aim is to make practical application of the text that will serve as a bridge between what we study in the first section and the impact it has in our life. 3. Build off the text This third section will focus on ""faith builders,"" the additional nuggets we glean from the text that help us grow in our own faith. Our hope in this great study is simple: to help you learn the text, apply the text, and build a strong faith. Our intent for this book is to provide an easy-to-use resource with reliable resources so you can gain profitable knowledge from the text. As Christians, we want to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, and we pray this resource will be a tool to help us all do that."

Denny has been married to Kathy for over 40 years. They have three children and six grandchildren. Denny has had full-time ministry positions in Mississippi, Arkansas, Nebraska, and Colorado. He has been the president of the Bear Valley Bible Institute since 2004. Joe Wells is blessed to be the husband of the former Erin O'Hara, and they are the proud parents of four beautiful children: Colton, Michala, Camden, and Bennett. He is the president of Kaio Publications and co-host of the podcast The Hey Joe Show. Joe travels the country as a frequent speaker for youth and family events, men's days, as well as Gospel meetings. Garrett Bernethy has been married to his wife, Cristen, for over 17 years. Together they have four wonderful boys, Parker and his beautiful wife Claire, Cohen, Ryder, Kamden, and a granddaughter on the way! Garrett has directed and been a part of many camps, retreats, conferences, and workshops, and also serves on the national staff for Lads to Leaders. He is the director of Excel Still More, an annual writer, and an instructor for the Bible Workshop alongside Denny, Joe, and Billy. Garrett currently serves as the pulpit minister for the Hydro Church of Christ in Hydro, Oklahoma.
