Socio-Economic Status is one of the key factors which have been studied extensively in behavioral sciences research. It has been observed that SES as an independent variable as a greater impact on dependent variable i.e., performance of an individual. Behavioral component have greater bearing on socio-economic conditions of the individual. It has been conclusively proved that SES is one of the main correlates of behavioral component. Most of the indices have been developed in the United States of America for application, primarily to the contemporary urban industrial class structure of that country where a good deal or research regarding stratification has been made in the recent decades.
