William Spring began his career as a newspaper and magazine cartoonist and has also worked as an archaeological illustrator. He has written and illustrated more than a dozen picture books for children under the pseudonym Alborozo. With Evolution, he returns to his love of natural history painting with the philosophy that there is nothing in nature that is not beautiful. William Spring lives in England.
