Rather, it is an ""informal"" and EXTREMELY IRREVERENT manual that approaches echocardiography in an unconventional way. My aim is to encourage readers to ""think beyond predefined frameworks"", to consider aspects usually overlooked, and to appreciate details that are sometimes overlooked. In short, if you wish, I will have you ""think"" about aspects you may never have considered and that go far beyond the guidelines because they are ""collateral"" or perhaps seemingly ""marginal"". The primary objective of the text is to offer intellectual content to foster a valid and coherent methodological approach to echocardiography practice, without detracting from official guidelines or international consensus papers. If anything, the insights offered should be combined with the aforementioned cornerstones to further optimize echocardiographic practice and achieve a further, entirely personal diagnostic upgrade, adding value to what is already officially known and consolidated.
