Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationJohn Dupré is Professor of the Philosophy of Science at the University of Exeter and Consulting Director of Egenis at The Centre for the Study of Life Sciences, which he founded in 2002. He received a PhD from Cambridge in 1981, and subsequently worked at Oxford, Stanford, and Birkbeck College, London before moving to Exeter. Dupré has served as President of the British Society for the Philosophy of Science and the Philosophy of Science Association. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a Member of the American Philosophical Society.
