ENG CATHERINE WANNER is the Edwin Erle Sparks Professor of History, Anthropology, and Religious Studies at The Pennsylvania State University. Her research centers on the politics of religion and human rights. She is the author or editor of seven books on Ukraine, most recently the editor of Dispossession: Anthropological Perspectives on Russia's War Against Ukraine (Routledge, 2023).
