Overview

After a botched mission ends his life, Tokyo Detective Kei Satsuki is reincarnated by a mysterious goddess into a fantasy world into the frontier town of Axinus. With no way home, Kei sticks to what he knows best: being a cop. His new beat involves a run-down station and a squad of misfits including a hot-headed Oni chief with a mean right hook, a wisecracking Lizardman wizard, a stoic Wolfman berserker, and a fellow reincarnated soul with a knack for healing. At first, life is a breeze-or at least, as breezy as it gets when you're breaking up bar fights between adventurers or finding lost pets. But the peace is shattered when the enigmatic ""Noble Thief"" begins striking the state's elite, igniting tensions between the aristocracy and the common folk. What starts as a hunt for a cat burglar quickly spirals into a conspiracy that threatens to tear the state apart. As Kei goes undercover to protect a noble family, he realizes this cat-and-mouse game is only the first piece of a far deadlier puzzle. Can a modern-day detective solve this strange mystery in a world of swords and magic?
