At age eighteen, she immigrated to northern Alberta, with her missionary parents. Ramona has been active in children's and youth work for most of her life. She strove to present the gospel in a relatable and enjoyable manner After taking extensive training in puppetry, Ramona trained teams of teenagers to accompany her to both church and community gatherings. Since this demanded many and various types of scripts, she published a large book of original scripts and visual stories. Ramona was a member of The Evangelical Children's Fellowship and was very active in the Toastmaster's speech club. Now, nearing her 90th birthday, she is climaxing her career with this children's story, her third to be published. The purpose of Every Dog Needs a Boy is to instill in the readers the importance of treating the animals in their care with kindness.Ramona and her husband, Jim, have been married for over 65 years.
