Evangelicalism has rapidly become one of the most significant religious movements in the modern world. An umbrella term that encompasses many Protestant denominations that share core tenets of Christianity, evangelicalism is foremost defined by its disciples' consideration of the Bible as the ultimate moral and historical authority, the desire to evangelize or spread the faith, and the value of religious conversion known as being ""born again."" Author Information

John G. Stackhouse, Jr., is an award-winning scholar, teacher, and public communicator. He was born in Canada and raised in southwestern England and northern Ontario. He earned his BA from Queen's University, MA from Wheaton Graduate School, and PhD from the University of Chicago. He has taught at universities in Canada and the United States, and currently holds the Samuel J. Mikolaski Chair of Religious Studies at Crandall University in eastern Canada. Professor Stackhouse has lectured at Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Edinburgh, Hong Kong, Fudan, Otago, and many other universities. His voice has been featured in a wide range of media, from the New York Times to the Washington Post to the Times Literary Supplement, and from ABC News in the USA to ABC News in Australia, as well as in most major Canadian media. Frank Block is an author turned full-time narrator who has recorded 470-plus audiobooks from his home studio nestled in the Canadian Rockies. Frank grew up in a small prairie town surrounded by colorful storytellers, which helped him develop his own unique craft of storytelling. He has also been called upon to be the public address announcer for countless hockey games over the years. Frank lives with his wife of more than thirty years in beautiful British Columbia and enjoys spending time with his three children and one grandchild.
