OverviewThe present experimental study evaluated the effect of methanolic extract of stem bark of Neolamarckia cadamba against DMBA-induced Mammary tumour in Wistar rats. The percentage extractability and qualitative phytochemical analysis of stem bark's Neolamarckia cadamba methanolic extract were conducted while studying its anticancer activity. The phytochemical analysis revealed the existence of active constituents like flavonoids, phytosterols, alkaloids, carbohydrates, proteins, amino acids, saponins, glycosides, resins, and tannins. and the extractability percentage was obtained to be 22.30%.
