OverviewLiver resection surgery remained a high-risk procedure. Teams sought ways to predict patient survival after surgery. The first publications in this area sought to develop prognostic scores based on surgical indications.Advances in anaesthetic and surgical management of patients undergoing liver surgery have broadened the indications for this procedure, which is considered 'major' and haemorrhagic, with a high morbidity rate. This evaluation aims to analyse a series of hepatectomies in order to determine the risk factors for perioperative morbidity and mortality, and thereby improve the management of patients undergoing liver resection. The aim of this work is to evaluate correctly in the perioperative period in order to reduce the overall hospital mortality rate and make it comparable to the results reported in other series. This summary has made it possible to determine the risk factors influencing the morbidity and mortality of hepatectomies, factors that will be taken into account in the future to improve the results of liver resections.
