OverviewThe art jewelry of Czech artist Eva Eisler (born 1952) is internationally admired for its austerely sculptural qualities. Although Eisler first became known in the 1970s, her mature work is indelibly linked to her years in the United States, where she moved with her husband, architect John Eisler, in 1983. It was in the US that she became known for the full range of her talents, including her interior design, installation and visual art. The couple returned to the Czech Republic in 2006. This monograph examines Eisler's oeuvre in its full typological breadth, and focuses particularly on her art jewelry from the late 1970s and 1980s. This monograph is the second volume in the Design-Profiles-Key Figures series published by Prague's Museum of Decorative Arts.
