Overview

Degory Priest: surgeon, scientist, engineer, genius, madman. Trapped by his own claims of genius and weighed down by the responsibility of keeping his fellow citizens alive in a world overrun with pollution, monsters, and bandits, he hides away in his labs, experimenting with the lives of millions on a whim, as if their souls were coins to be spent. When Degory learns of his estranged partner Eurydice's vanishing in the catastrophic fall of her city-state to the unstoppable Wild Hunt, he defies the broken civilization, the land's savage beasts, and his own dark impulses to rescue his beloved before time runs out. Or, barring that, reach into the depths of the multiverse for a reasonable fa facsimile. Whichever comes first. Priest will leave a trail of destruction and chaos in his wake, dragging his bodyguard and former lab assistant along, stopping at nothing to reunite with his Eurydice.
