Reviews

.,. Strohl has produced an excellent up-to-date book on the status of the world's high-speed passanger rail lines and plans. This is not a train buff or rail fan book, but rather an impressive scholarly exposition by and American political science professor, longtime resident in Paris, who provides considerable technical detail in terms understandable to the general reader. The book is very comprehensive in its coverage. There is no comparable book. The footnotes, bibliography, and index are excellent. General; advanced undergraduate through faculty; professional. -Choice
