Author Information

Bruno Arcidiacono has taught History of International Relations at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva since 1987. He recently published Cinq types de paix. Une histoire des plans de pacification perpetuelle, XVIIe-XXe siecles (Paris, 2011). Katrin Milzow holds a PhD from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. Her research interests centre on European construction, with a particular focus on discursive approaches. She currently works for the Swiss National Science Foundation. Axel Marion holds a PhD from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. His research interests focus on the definition of European borders and the analysis of public opinion in the field of European construction. Pierre-Etienne Bourneuf obtained a BA in International Relations at the University of Trieste, and a MA at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies of Geneva, where he is now doing his PhD. His main fields of interest are international security and the process of legitimising the use of force. His current studies are focused on the development of air-power and the evolution of strategic bombings.
