Steven Scragg is the author of a critically acclaimed trilogy of books on European club competitions, covering the glory days of the European Cup, Cup Winners’ Cup and the UEFA Cup, including A Tournament Frozen in Time, which was shortlisted for the FWA Football Book of the Year. He also penned In the Heat of the Midday Sun, a love letter to the 1986 World Cup. He is the senior writer for These Football Times, and has featured in Guardian Sport and The Athletic.
