Students will be able to relate well to the Ethics AtWork features. The questions at the end were very thought-provoking. I can see some good discussions on these features.


Author Information

Currently in his fifteenth year on the faculty of the University of Texas, Professor Bredeson specializes in business ethics, business law, and discrimination law and has received several rare teaching awards including the Lockheed Martin Excellence Award for three years running. He is also among the youngest recipients of the Board of Regents Teaching Award and was UT's nominee for the Carnegie Foundation's United States Professor of the Year Award in 2010. Professor Bredeson recently published the STUDENT GUIDE TO THE SARBANES-OXLEY ACT with Robert Prentice and is the co-author of BUSINESS LAW AND THE LEGAL ENVIRONMENT with Jeffrey Beatty and Susan Samuelson. He earned his undergraduate degree from the McCombs School of Business and J.D. from the School of Law at the University of Texas. Former Director of the Applied Ethics Program at St. Petersburg College, Mr. Goree taught professional ethics and ethics education at conferences and workshops for teachers, school administrators, law enforcement officers, and other professional groups throughout the country. In 1997, the Florida Association of Community Colleges named Mr. Goree as a semi-finalist for the Florida Professor of the Year Award. He was also awarded the Carol Burnett Award for Ethics in Journalism. In September 2005, Mr. Goree was named National Community College Faculty Member of the Year by the Association of Community College Trustees.
