Grobman teaches nonprofit management (including nonprofit organization ethics) at the Ph.D. and Master's levels as an adjunct professor at several universities. He received his Ph.D. in Public Administration from Penn State University, his M.P.A. from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, and his B.S. from Drexel University. His experience includes 13 years as executive director of a statewide nonprofit in Pennsylvania. For more than a decade, he has been writing about the nonprofit sector for various publications.
