He holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics and Management (2006) and a Specialist degree in International Economics (2003) from Stavropol State Agrarian University, Russia. Spheres of scientific interests include international trade, globalization, trade integration and liberalization, sustainable development, food security issues with a focus on emerging markets, developing countries, and economies in transition. Vasilii Erokhin is an author of over 150 scientific works in international economics, international trade, sustainable rural development, and regionalization, including 6 books, 10 monographs, over 40 papers in peer-reviewed journals and proceedings (the USA, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine, Russia). Vasilii Erokhin is an editor of the IGI Global book Global Perspectives on Trade Integration and Economies in Transition (2016).
