Author Information

Born in Bangladesh on October 18, 1983, Zeeshan Mahmud is the only son of Mir Shahabuddin Mohammad and Hasina Banu. He attended Fairmount Avenue Elementary School in Philadelphia where his father was completing Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program before moving back home. At Dhaka, he attended Scholastica for a while before travelling to Pretoria. There his father held a post of Economic Counselor as a diplomat. In South Africa he attended the prestigious Pretoria Boys High School. He would find himself traveling again, this time to Orange County where he would graduate from Garden Grove High School and attend Orange Coast College on and off before dropping out of Cypress College in 2016. Flamboyant but shy, he once dressed up in Uncle Sam costume during an exam in his political science class at Orange Coast College to a pin-drop audience who were not least bit amused. He has an eclectic taste in nearly everything from bird-watching to Eastern philosophy but his major obsession is Bangladesh cricket team.
