"Kathleen Harrington, a graduate of the School of Visual Arts with a passion for storytelling, poetry, and rhymes, is Robyn Harrington's daughter. After losing her mother in 2016, Kathleen discovered her mother's notes for a story about Esmeralda, the butterfly. Determined to honor her mother's dream, Kathleen completed the book, imbuing it with the magic and inspiration that Robyn envisioned. Kathleen lives in Middlefield, Connecticut, with her husband and two young sons, who delight in seeing butterflies and hearing their mother's tales. Robyn Harrington was a lifelong educator and literacy coach with a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Fairfield University. Her fascination with Monarch butterflies began in her 1st grade classroom at Holland Hill Elementary School in Fairfield, Connecticut, where she hatched many Monarchs over the years. Inspired by their incredible migration journey, Robyn dreamed of publishing a children's book to share this wonder with young readers. Though she passed away in September 2016, her legacy lives on through ""Esmeralda's Magical Journey,"" completed by her daughters to fulfill her final wish. Amanda J. Sardi is an artist and wanderer who has embraced her roots in New England. A Connecticut native, she developed a love for painting from a young age, inspired by her grandfather. After his passing in 2018, she found encouragement in his watercolor paints and continued to hone her craft. Amanda's illustrations in ""Esmeralda's Magical Journey"" bring the story to life, capturing the beauty and wonder of Esmeralda's adventure.
