A ESFala destina-se a profissionais de saúde, educação e cuidadores de crianças. Como profissionais de saúde englobam-se médicos de medicina geral e familiar, pediatras, enfermeiros, terapeutas, psicólogos, etc. Os profissionais de educação podem incluir professores, educadores, auxiliares de ação educativa, etc. Como cuidadores consideram-se amas, pais ou outros familiares. Esta obra científica teve uma amostra de 963 crianças de Portugal Continental e Insular, foi escrita com uma terminologia acessível a qualquer um dos destinatários, pode servir como guião orientador na monitorização da aquisição dos sons da fala do Português-Europeu. The ESFala: Speech Sounds Development Scale is an oral neuromotor and linguistic child development scale that aims to describe the speech sound acquisition/production chronological order and the disappearance/suppression phonological processes chronological order the European-Portuguese speaking children with ages between 18 months and 7 years. The ESFala is intended for children professional health, education and caregivers. Health professionals include general practitioners and family physicians, pediatricians, speech-language pathologists, nurses, therapists, psychologists, etc. Education professionals may include teachers, educators, educational assistants, etc. As caregivers, they are considered to be nannies, babysitters, parents or other family members or providers. This scientific work had a sample of 963 children from Continental and Insular Portugal. It was written with a terminology accessible to any of the recipients. It can serve as a monitor guide for the European-Portuguese speech sounds acquisition.
