God does not discriminate based on gender. American law prohibits discrimination based on gender. TANYA HALLFORD HENDRIX Striving to enlighten, empower, and equip women, Tanya has blended her faith, legal experiences and work with abused and trafficked women to write, Equal Protection Under God: Gender equality and women's roles in the church. Born in Fairhope, Alabama, Tanya holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law (2001) and Master of Divinity from Regent University (2015). Tanya has been a prosecutor, criminal defense attorney, family law attorney, and mediator. She prosecuted crimes against women and children, and has been an advocate for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault for more than 20 years. Tanya has assisted and lead teams in the identification of victims of sex trafficking on the streets and online at a local level and at national sporting events. She has been part of transports and extractions of victims of sex trafficking. She even lived in a sex trafficking safe house for a period of time. She has trained law enforcement and civilians in the areas of human trafficking, sexual assault, domestic violence, and women's personal defense. Tanya has spoken at churches and seminars about Jesus' treatment of women and the roles of women in the church.
