Epiphany of Light: Poems and Prayers for Every Day

Overview

Epiphany of Light gathers a lifetime of reflection and devotion into four movements, each illuminating a facet of the journey to and with God. Comprised of collected poems and prayers for daily use, it provides support and companionship in growth, joy, struggle, gratitude, and renewal. In ""Drops of Insight"" sudden flashes of clarity reveal God's presence in the ordinary: flowers, service, family, the seasons, the tides of time--everything embodies the mystery of love. ""Innermost Petals"" turns the quiet spaces of home and memory into realms where the heart learns to hope, endure, and open itself to faith. The third movement, ""Verses for America,"" broadens the gaze to landscapes and voyages, weaving encounters with nature, and the soul's longing for meaning, into a vision of a nation aimed towards enlightenment. Finally, ""Prayers"" brings us into direct conversation with God, in expressions of praise, worship, and strength, giving readers usable affirmations of trust in his infinite love. Epiphany of Light is a call to betterment, heartening readers on their walk of faith. Read in sequence or opened at random, it is a friend in solitude and an invitation to connection--a testament that illuminates life's hidden corners.

Author Information

Luisella Traversi Guerra was born on July 21, 1944 in Borgonovo V.T. (Piacenza, Italy). Having spent part of her childhood in Paris, back in Italy, she graduated and married early. She is an author and artist. She has spoken at important conferences and written extensively on the subject of training, and how to continuously cultivate not only professional skills but also and above all personal qualities through self-knowledge and a process of self-training. President of a charitable association until 2022, she actively worked for the preparation and training of young people. The experience of being a mother to five children and a grandmother to nine grandchildren has enhanced her creative potential and has often acted as the laboratory from which her stories are inspired. Under the pseudonym of Nonna Gella, she broadcast 50 of her fairy tales on youtube. In 2016 and 2017, she exhibited at a stand at Lilliput, a fair dedicated to children. Over the years, she has published volumes of managerial training, books of poems, short stories, fairy tales and monographs of her vast pictorial production. The Story of Lucy Belmont is her first novel for an English-speaking, adult public. Living between Italy and the USA, her writing has until now been published only in Italy and France, while her paintings have been exhibited widely in America and all around the globe including Japan, China, Singapore, Holland, France, Germany, Monaco, Luxemburg and Switzerland. For over three decades she was H.R. Director for the company she and her husband founded, with offices in Bergamo, Italy and in Evansville, Indiana, where this novel is set.
