OverviewDiabetic neuropathy (DN) is a demonstrable disorder that occurs to peripheral and autonomic nervous systems. DN encompasses a wide heterogeneous group of clinical and subclinical syndromes. It is one of the major long term complication associated with diabetes that can cause considerable morbidity and mortality. The diagnosis of DN can vary significantly. It is a family of nerve disorders that are directly caused by diabetic complications. Neuropathy can strike at any time, regardless of age, gender, racial or ethnic background.
