Author Information

After his PhD in biophysical chemistry at the University of Bielefeld, Germany, the author Andreas Kukol conducted postdoctoral research for three years in the Department of Biochemistry, University of Cambridge, UK. Then he joined the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Warwick, as lecturer and moved in 2007 to the School of Life and Medical Sciences, University of Hertfordshire, UK. His teaching covers biochemistry at undergraduate and postgraduate level, while his research uses methods of computational biochemistry and bioinformatics applied to antiviral drug discovery, transmembrane protein-protein interactions that control cardiac function and protein-protein interactions in plant-pathogen systems.
