He qualified as an Economics teacher in 1982, and from 2006-12 taught ethics at Wells Cathedral School in Somerset. In 2007 he set up a philosophy and ethics community dedicated to enlarging the teaching of philosophy in schools by applying the theory of multiple intelligences to the analysis of philosophical and ethical problems.
