Bev created an exhibition celebrating the locals of Frankston, and discovered the wealth of knowledge and experience seniors in the local community held and were willing to share. This was the beginning of the Celebrate Living History internship program. Eight years later she has successfully become the go-between for two very diverse generations. Young journalism students and seniors over the age of 60 to collect stories for the Celebrate Living History website. She believes strongly in bringing people of different generations and backgrounds together supported through her work in both the aged and disability fields. Bev has spoken on a national and international level. Bev has taken her passion for storytelling abroad, travelling to the United States to connect with individuals and organisations focussed on connecting youth with elders. She had the opportunity to speak at the 2017 Global Intergenerational Conference in Milwaukee about her passion for connecting generations. She is excited to see the Celebrate Living History program expand to include entrepreneurs from two very vast generations the under 30s and over 60s bonded together to thrive in doing work that makes them smile every day. The Entrepreneurs: Generations Apart book was a year- long project that saw Bev interview business owners aged under 30 and over 60 globally. Bev was inspired by the knowledge and wisdom the two generations shared that she collated all the interviews together and created the Entrepreneurs: Generations Apart book to be cherished for many years to come. Bev wants to inspire the everyday person to say Yes to making their dreams a reality. Bev believes it is never too late to start. You just have to make one small move to make a difference.
