Sanjib Borah is an esteemed academician and researcher, currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry at Lakhimpur College of Veterinary Science, Assam Agricultural University. His research focuses on reproductive physiology and molecular biology in livestock, with notable work on growth, reproduction, stress and immune function. Proficient in Assisted Reproductive Techniques and molecular biology, he has secured substantial research funding from prestigious research funding agencies. These projects have not only advanced scientific knowledge but have also yielded practical implications for enhancing animal productivity and welfare. He was also a part of the research team to produce world’s first Embryo Transfer Technology (ETT) born yak calf - MISMO in 2005. An accomplished educator since 2014, Dr. Borah has received multiple awards and authored numerous research papers, contributed to books and participated in scientific committees, making significant contributions to veterinary science and animal welfare. Simson Soren, Ph.D. working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry at Lakhimpur College of Veterinary Science, Assam Agricultural University, Joyhing, North Lakhimpur Since 2019. Dr. S. Soren awarded Ph.D. degree in the discipline of Animal Physiology from ICAR-NDRI, Karnal in the year 2016. A recipient of the certificate course held by FELASA (Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Association) accredited course (FELASA Ref. 052/15) “In Laboratory Animal Sciences”Laboratory Animal Medicine, Centre for Animal Health Studies, TANUVAS, Chennai, India (2016). Recipient of the certificate of competence by School of Life Science, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi (2016) in handling and care of laboratory animals. He was awarded Master of Veterinary Science (Veterinary Physiology) in 2011 and Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from College of Veterinary Science, Assam Agricultural University, Khanapara, Guwahati (2008). He was also a part of the research team to produce world’s first test tube Yak Calf named “NORGYAL”. His research works have been recognised in various capacities at national and international platforms and actively published scientific articles, book chapters, and popular articles.
