He has published extensively on the book Isaiah, using his communication-oriented exegesis, including The Implied Reader in Isaiah 6-12 (Brill, 1998). Annemarieke van der Woude, PhD (2005) in Theology, is an independent biblical scholar. She has published especially on the drama-linguistic aspects of Deutero-Isaiah.
