Overview

This is the student's cassette of level 1 of an elementary to intermediate course for adults. Each part of the course comprises a student's book, teacher's book, workbook, class cassette and student's cassette and provides between 80 and 120 hours of teaching. Throughout the course the focus of attention is on the students, drawing out their knowledge, opinions and experiences wherever possible. The units have been made as free-standing as possible so that teachers can treat them as modules and leave out or supplement the material presented. Each unit is divided into three parts: the first core section introduces the language points and provides practice and reinforcement through a variety of teaching approaches; the language section gives an account of the grammatical form and use of each language point dealt with in the unit; the development section offers further activities which can be done in class or at home.
