OverviewFounded in the late 1860s by SJ Moreland, a Stroud Timber merchant, the company of Moreland's began manufacture of England's Glory matches in Gloucester's Bristol Road. For almost 120 years they remained there, producing matches for consumption at home and abroad. Bought by Swedish Match, the factory closed down and is now used as a warehouse and distribution centre.
