Fluid Power.ReviewsAuthor InformationDavid A. Madsen is the president of Madsen Designs, Incorporated (www.madsendesigns.com). He is an emeritus faculty member of drafting technology and the Autodesk(R) Premier Training Center at Clackamas Community College in Oregon City, Oregon, where he was an instructor and department chairperson for nearly 30 years. In addition to community college experience, Mr. Madsen was a drafting technology instructor at Centennial High School in Gresham, Oregon. He is a former member of the American Design and Drafting Association (ADDA) Board of Directors, and he was honored by the ADDA with director emeritus status. He has extensive experience in mechanical drafting, architectural design and drafting, and building construction. Mr. Madsen holds an M.Ed. in vocational administration and a B.S. in industrial education. David P. Madsen is the president of Engineering Drafting and Design, Inc., and the vice president of Madsen Designs, Incorporated (www.madsendesigns.com). Mr. Madsen provides drafting and design consultation and training for all disciplines and has been a professional design drafter since 1996, with extensive experience in a variety of drafting, design, and engineering fields. He has provided drafting and computer-aided design and drafting instruction to secondary and postsecondary learners since 1999 and has considerable experience in curriculum and program coordination and development. Mr. Madsen holds an M.S. in educational policy, foundations, and administrative studies, with a specialization in postsecondary, adult, and continuing education.
