He is Director of the Postgraduate Taught Masters courses in Chemistry at Hull University and is currently developing courses for newly established programmes in both Chemical Engineering and Chemistry with Mathematics at Hull University (undergraduate entry September, 2013). Jay is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a pioneer of Hull University's Blended Learning Programme in Chemistry (which has recruited approximately 40 students primarily from the UK and Europe) to engage in online, distance e-learning. Jay Wadhawan and Jonathan Halls have a background in innovation in electrochemical device engineering from fundamental perspectives through to the development of disruptive technologies - between them, they co-invented have three patent families and jointly co-authored seven original research publications.
