Endurance By Dudley Mark Facey It all started at Big-Yard, the family estate on the island of Jamaica. The late 1950's was a time of innocence and familial growth. It was also a time of betrayal and secrecy that would affect generations. Dre was the first born of four boys. He had seen a lot since the moment consciousness told him who he was. He couldn't explain why he had a drive to protect his three siblings. But, he knew that he would suffer through anything to perform that task. Mike was the youngest, the smallest and most innocent one. He had felt protected since the first day he knew himself. He never imagined that his reality would be shattered into a struggle for survival. But, his protective big brother was with him, now. The world had turned against them, leaving endurance as their only choice.
