Minerals are any of a class of naturally occurring solid, inorganic substances with a characteristic crystalline form and a homogenous chemical composition: any substance obtained by mining, especially a metal ore. While mineralogy is a branch of geology concerned with the study of minerals. Mining is a system of excavations made for the extractions of minerals, especially coal, ores or minerals. Mining and Mineralogy are responsible for economic and industrial growth of any nation. As a discipline, this falls under engineering, science and technology encompassing earth sciences and technology within its fold.
