This well-organized, concise volume is interdisciplinary and somewhat international in scope, though the focus is on the US...This volume makes clear the history and thorough research that has been done on this topic...The volume offers a wealth of data and statistics. For readers ranging from generalists to policy makers, this is an excellent place to begin research on this topic. Summing Up: Highly recommended. Academic and public libraries; lower-level undergraduates and up; general readers. -- S.J. Bryant CHOICE 20131201
