Author Information

Simon Turney is a Roman historian, author of a biography of the Roman general Agricola, and has spent several decades visiting Roman military sites and studying the epigraphy and other evidence of Roman units, specifically the auxilia. He has been a Roman reenactor, experiencing the history from the inside, so to speak. He is also the author of several historical novels, including a series featuring Maxentius.
