Author Information

In addition to being a successful amateur poker player (mostly No-Limit Hold-Em and mid-level tournaments), Heath A. Demaree, Ph.D. is a Professor of Psychology at Case Western Reserve University. He received a BA in Psychology from Princeton University in 1993 and earned his Ph.D. in Psychology from Virginia Tech in 1998. Throughout his career, Dr. Demaree has investigated the intersection of emotion, cognition, and brain function. An expert in these areas, he has authored over 50 peer-reviewed articles and received numerous awards relating to his scholarship, teaching, and mentoring.
