Hauk serves as senior editorial consultant at Emory's Center for the Study of Law and Religion. He is vice chair and chair-elect of Georgia Humanities, 2018-2019. He is the co-editor, with John Witte Jr., of Christianity and Family Law, and co-editor, with Sally Wolff King, of Where Courageous Inquiry Leads: Essays in the Emerging Life of Emory University. Hauk is the author of two other Emory-commissioned histories, A Legacy of Heart and Mind: Emory Since 1836 and Religion and Reason Joined: Candler at 100, published to celebrate the centennial of the Candler School of Theology.
