Overview

His sanity lost, thanks to drugs and an emotional upheaval, Terry Kruegel went on a quest to restore his mental health and find peace of mind. This quest took him overland in the late sixties through Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal and Ceylon. In Nepal, one auspicious look from a Tibetan Buddhist monk created an opening. Terry would swing from paranoiac fear to mystical experience and back again many times before returning from Europe and the Near East to find a home in Boulder, Colorado. Terry then studied with the outrageous Tibetan teacher, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, for 14 years until Trungpa's death. Years of intense introspective work, meditation practice and study brought Terry home to himself and allowed him to marry, have children, and a flourishing real estate practice.
