Madison Blair Cohen is a 17-year-old girl from Manhasset, New York. She is a senior at the Portledge School, and she is an International Baccalaureate Candidate who excels in the visual and performing arts. Maddy has always been drawn to the natural sciences and the Spanish language. To this end, she thoroughly enjoyed rendering the medical illustrations captured in her new book, Embracing Each Other, and she felt strongly that her story should be available to Spanish speakers. Using her linguistic talents to translate her story from English to Spanish, she has made hard copies of her books available to patients in schools, clinics, hospitals, doctor's offices, support groups, and rehabilitative centers locally and globally.Embracing Each Other poignantly describes the physical and emotional struggles of scoliosis-from diagnosis to bracing.
