When his mom stopped him from practicing his art on the kitchen walls and gave him some paper instead, his career path was set. Over the years, he has illustrated many books, and with his wife, Jacky Davis, cowrote and illustrated the New York Times bestselling book series Ladybug Girl, as well the Agent Lion and Elvis & Romeo series. David’s solo books include Three Bears in a Boat, The Monster Next Door, How to Two, The Impossible Mountain, and Papa’s Home. When not working on a new book, David teaches at The School of Visual Arts in NYC. He lives in Rosendale, New York, with his family and a big, furry dog named Pico. Jacky Davis, along with her husband, David Soman, is the creator of the bestselling Ladybug Girl series as well as the Elvis and Romeo and Agent Lion series.
