Table of ContentsReviewsAs a coffee table art book, Le Henanff s work is a lush success. Publishers Weekly Elvis fans will have huge smiles on their faces upon picking up this graphic biography. The illustrations are beautiful and placed in a way to keep the reader's attention. However, the text of this title does not meet expectations. In fact, this is more of a graphic timeline than a biography. It moves from Elvis's birth to his death, listing one event after the other but leaving out the story of his life. In addition, there are times when the biography deviates into the lives of other musicians, causing confusion. Most importantly, the text leaves the reader longing for the story of Elvis's life. This title could be used as a place to begin writing a biography or as an example of a developed timeline, though the lack of bibliographic information makes this biography a less reliable source. --Diane Fenning, School Library Connection A gorgeous book, worthy of coffee table, library or Elvis shrine. --Andrew Smith, Indiana Gazette As a coffee table art book, Le Henanff's work is a lush success. --Publishers Weekly Chanoinat and Le Henanff have done Elvis proud! An excellent introduction to Elvis and his life story. --Michael Barron, XSNoise The reverent portrayal will strike a chord with Elvis loyalists.
