Janet Eichenberger Hiatt, PhD, has worked in the field of K-12 English language teaching (ELT) for over three decades as an English language development (ELD) teacher, ELD teacher leader, and professional learning provider. In these roles, she has taught in newcomer, bilingual literacy, and content-based programs; coached ELD and general education teachers; and designed and facilitated professional learning opportunities for teachers of multilingual learners of English.
