Overview

It's been over two years since fourteen-year-old Elly lost her mother in a tragic car accident and she still can't shake the feeling that she's responsible. And now her father inherited a garden center in rural Calaveras County that seems to hold many secrets. When they arrive, the police unearth one of them--a well-preserved corpse buried in peat moss. She thinks her dad needs to fall in love again, but running a retail nursery and falling in love comes with a catch--someone wants them dead. Author Information

Don got his Bachelor of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Don worked in the wholesale nursery business as a foreman and production manager. He had a retail nursery called Rising Sun Nursery in Burson, California from 1997 to 2019, winning many Best of Nursery/Garden Center awards. He wrote a humorous book with nursery tales and customer comments called Darn Weeds! He is now retired but still grows trees as a hobby. His old nursery is the setting for this book.
